1. Our Accessibility Commitment
Banner Printing Same Day is committed to making bannerprintingsameday.co.uk accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
2. What We Have Done
- Colour contrast: All body text meets the 4.5:1 minimum contrast ratio against its background
- Keyboard navigation: The whole site works with a keyboard (Tab, Enter, Shift+Tab)
- Clear structure: One H1 per page, logical heading hierarchy, semantic HTML
- Alt text on images: Every meaningful image has descriptive alt text
- Readable font sizes: Body text 14-16px, scales naturally when zoomed
- Language declared: Every page is marked as English (en-GB)
- Mobile-friendly: Responsive design works from 320px upwards
- No auto-playing media: Nothing plays sound or video without user action
3. Known Limitations
We try hard to make everything accessible, but some areas may fall short:
- Our embedded Google Maps iframes may have limited keyboard accessibility (Google's responsibility)
- PDF artwork guides may not be fully screen-reader optimised
- Some older blog post images may lack detailed alt text (we are working through these)
We are actively improving these areas.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
The site has been tested with:
- Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge (latest versions)
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
- Keyboard-only navigation
- 200% zoom in all major browsers
