How you hang your banner matters as much as how it's printed.
Brass eyelets are the default for 95% of jobs and come free on every BPSD banner. Pole pockets cost a bit more and suit flag poles, teardrops, or banners that need a clean edge without visible eyelets.

Brass Eyelets (Grommets), The Default
Brass metal rings punched into reinforced hem corners. You thread rope, cable ties or bungee cord through them.
Best for: Most banners. Fences, railings, walls, poles, scaffolding.
Included on every BPSD banner: 4 corner eyelets for banners under 4ft, 6 eyelets for 4β5ft banners.
Brass eyelets are free because they work. 19 times out of 20 they are the right answer, no fuss.
When you need extra eyelets
For long banners in wind, ask for eyelets every 50cm along the top edge. It spreads the load and stops ripping.
Pole Pockets
Sewn pockets running along one or more edges, a pole slides through.
Best for: Flagpoles, car park signs, teardrop-style banners, clean edge without exposed eyelets.
Typical configurations:
- Top pocket only, hangs from a pole like a wall flag
- Top + bottom pockets, stays flat, doesn't curl
- All four sides, for framed presentation
Adds Β£10βΒ£20 to the banner cost.
Pole pockets are worth the small extra cost when the banner is the centrepiece. Clean edges read as premium.
Pole diameter to specify
Tell us the pole diameter in advance. A 25mm pocket will not slide over a 32mm pole, and a loose pocket sags on a thin pole.
Fixing Tips
- Tie to a pole, not through the eyelet
- Use bungee cord in wind
- Don't over-tension
