Same-day banner printing sounds like marketing spin. At our Putney studio it's literally how the business runs. Here's exactly how we turn your order into a finished banner before closing time.
9am The Phone Starts Ringing
Our studio opens at 9am on Tildesley Road. Typical first calls: a shop owner in Wandsworth needing a "SALE NOW ON" banner for Saturday, a parent in Wimbledon organising a surprise 40th birthday, a builder in Fulham whose site has a new hoarding going up tomorrow morning.
9:30am Artwork Check
We check incoming files. 60% need some tweaking low resolution, wrong colour mode, missing bleed, size mismatch. We fix them in-house at no charge.
10am–11am Design Time
If a customer doesn't have artwork, we design it. A simple birthday banner takes 15 minutes. A bespoke shop front design takes 30–60 minutes.
11am Proof Approval
Customer approves the proof (often with revisions). Nothing goes to the printer without a signed-off proof.
11:30am–1pm Actual Printing
Large-format HD printer fires up. A 5ft banner takes about 4 minutes to print. We hang them over drying racks for ~20 minutes.
1pm–2pm Hemming & Eyeletting
Each banner is heat-hemmed on all four edges and brass eyelets are punched into every corner. About 10 minutes per banner.
2pm–3pm Quality Check
Every banner is laid flat and inspected. Then rolled, wrapped in paper, and boxed in a cardboard tube.
3pm Onwards Collection
Customers collect from our Putney studio throughout the afternoon. Open until 6pm Mon–Sat.
