"What size banner do I need?" depends entirely on where it's going. Here's a practical size guide for the jobs we print most often.
Shop Front Banners
- Small window banner: 3ft × 2ft (90cm × 60cm) for interior hangs, "Sale" signs
- Full-width shop banner: 5ft × 2ft or 5ft × 3ft fits most standard shop fronts
- Large retail hanging: 5ft × 5ft for high-ceiling shops, shopping centres
Birthday Banners
- Living room banner: 4ft × 2ft fits above a mantelpiece or sofa
- Party hall banner: 5ft × 3ft for village halls, party rooms
- Garden party banner: 5ft × 2ft tie between two fence posts or trees
Wedding Signage
- Welcome banner: 4ft × 2ft vertical portrait orientation
- Ceremony backdrop: 5ft × 5ft behind the altar or top table
- Photo booth background: 5ft × 5ft square format fills frames well
Event / Conference
- Pop-up backdrop: 5ft × 5ft
- Stage side banner: 5ft × 3ft

Quick Rule of Thumb
If you're not sure: 5ft × 3ft is the single most ordered size. Fits nearly every space, reads well from 30–50 feet. When in doubt, go 5×3.
